Coach Sierra has been playing volleyball since she was 10. She played varsity volleyball all 4 years of high school at Verrado and played for several clubs in the valley. Her volleyball career ended with several college offers but instead, she focused on her career and college. She has completed her bachelor’s in sports management and her master’s in leadership. She has since coached 3 years of club volleyball in the open division and was a volunteer coach with the City of Goodyear’s youth volleyball program. This will be her first year coaching with Nexus, and she could not be more excited! As much as she enjoys coaching volleyball, she realizes it is much more than teaching the game. Playing competitive volleyball was a crucial part of her childhood. Throughout playing she quickly realized what she needed in a coach and has made it a goal to portray those exact qualities to shape a new group of girls.
