My name is Payton Maricle, I am from Lebanon Oregon, I moved to Arizona to play golf at Ottawa University and to study communications and sports journalism. After two years of playing golf I decided it was time to get back to what I really loved so i switched my scholarship to volleyball.

I‘ve played volleyball since the 5th grade and played my first year of club in 7th. I played club at North Pacific Juniors in Oregon up until my junior year of high school and then I switched to play for the Factory club. I started my volleyball career off setting and stayed with that up until my junior year of high school, then I switched positions to libero. I played libero all the way up until my most recent season where I switched back to setting.

​Volleyball is my biggest passion and I believe great coaches make great players and people on and off the court, I am very dedicated to Nexus and seeing our girls succeed to the highest they can.
