Coach Flora was introduced to volleyball when she was 11 years old at a sports camp in Los Angeles, California and she has been in love with the sport ever since. She played throughout her youth until she got out of high school. She now stays active by playing on an adult rec. volleyball team. Since her children were young Flora and her husband have always wanted them to find a sport to play and love, so she has always crossed her fingers that at least one of her 2 kids would either play volleyball or softball. Luckily for Flora her oldest daughter began playing volleyball 2 years ago with the city of Goodyear. It wasn't until after fall volleyball started last year of 2017 that her daughter decided to get more serious about playing. Her daughters passion for the sport is what prompted Flora to step up to coach her team for the fall and continue to coach winter and spring volleyball that year for her team. Flora loved being able to connect with her daughter and other players on the court and decided that she should continue coaching and pursuing her passion of developing youth athletes as players and as people.Flora believes the best part of coaching is watching the girls develop their skill, grow mentally, and begin to love playing volleyball. |
