I fell in love with volleyball when I was 10 years old. I can confidently say that it has been my passion over the last 16 years. During my senior year of high school I was awarded the honor of first team all conference as a middle. I was recruited to play in college shortly after where my team took the state championship and competed at nationals.
My coaching career kicked off at the age of 16 and I knew right away that this was something I would continue to do. This year I have finally accomplished one of my dreams; coaching a high school team. Though I do not play competitively anymore, Coaching still allows me to feel that competitive edge, passion and drive that I felt when I was a player. It also allows me to give back to the volleyball community. I have been able to utilize all of the valuable knowledge I have gained from over the years and incorporate what I have learned into practices. Volleyball has always played such a big part in my life, my goal as a coach is to help athletes find and retain their passion for the sport so that they too can compete at a higher level and maybe even one day also become a coach so that future athletes can grow from their experiences. |
